This natural Ethiopia from Guji Hambela comes to us from our export partner Tracon’s Deri Kidame Washing Station. Cherry for this lot is sourced from the forests of Dimtu and Dari Kojowa in Hambela. Deri Kidame segregates each lot of purchased cherry and designates it as belonging to the specific villages where it was grown.
Cherry for this lot is dried on raised beds for 18-21 days, with hand rotation performed every hour for the first two days to ensure even drying during the critical period. After the drying period, the coffee is transferred to Tracon’s state of the art cleaning and milling facility in Addis Ababa for depulping, cleaning and sorting.
