Worka Sakaro

This washed Ethiopia from Gedeb, Yirgacheffe comes to us from our export partner Tracon’s Worka Sakaro Washing Station. Cherry for this lot is sourced from smallholder producers in Worka Sakaro kebele. 

After delivery to the washing station, cherry is evaluated for color, ripeness and density. This ensures that only the most mature and sweet fruit is selected for processing into the high caliber lots this station is famous for producing. After initial evaluation, the cherry is submerged in water for 48-72hrs of underwater fermentation and then dried on raised beds.

We are finding this coffee to be a bright and electric lime treat. Watermelon sweetness is balanced with a crisp acidity that opens up into a clean and elegant finish. Definitely a good choice for morning batch brew that your partner who usually buys medium roast is going to like anyways!
