Pitalito Regional

This Colombia from Pitalito, Huila is a regional blend comprised of coffee sourced from many smallholder producers that deliver to a regional collection center. The collection center is managed by our export partner Carcafe and provides a vital resource to smallholder producers that, due to the remote location and/or size of their farms, don't typically have direct access to specialty markets, which pay higher prices for coffee. Smallholder producers without direct access to markets often sell their coffee to intermediaries that pay below the market potential for the quality of coffee they are producing. Carcafe's regional collection centers bring price transparency, technical assistance and sustainability initiatives to producers in the region without the scale to access these resources on their own.
